Donnie Thiessens, a lifelong Nevadan born and raised in Sparks, purchased Liberty Collision in 2014. Since then, it has remained a proud family-owned business with deep roots in the local community. Under Donnie’s leadership, Liberty Collision has become a trusted name for honest, high-quality auto body repair in the Reno-Sparks area.

We service all makes and models and offer a full range of collision repair services, including towing, glass repair, paint and bodywork, and more. We work with all insurance providers and policies to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

In October 2025, my wife and I experienced firsthand how quickly life can change. While driving through a green light, our vehicle was hit by another driver who ran a red light. Both cars were totaled, emergency services were called immediately, and what followed was a frightening and disorienting experience that included injuries, shock, and time spent in the ambulance and emergency room.

That experience reinforced an important truth for me. A car accident does not end when the scene is cleared. The physical pain, panic, missed plans, and emotional stress can linger long after the crash itself. Sharing an ambulance and emergency room with the other driver was a powerful reminder that accidents affect real people on all sides, and that compassion and understanding matter during moments of fear and uncertainty.

I have always believed in treating our customers with care and attention, but this experience deepened that commitment in a very personal way and strengthened my sense of empathy for what they are going through. I understand how vulnerable it feels to trust someone with your safety after an accident. That is why we take the time to make thoughtful repair recommendations and never cut corners, so every vehicle is repaired properly and our customers feel safe, confident, and supported when they get back on the road.
